Swedish ~ Swedish Massage is a term used to describe a full body relaxation massage. As Registered Massage Therapists written and signed consent is required for treatment on Gluteals, Adductors and Anterior chest muscles (anything below the clavicle). These standards of practice ensure a safe and clinically focussed massage even when the priority is relaxation and stress management.

Deep Tissue ~ Deep tissue is requested when a firmer or heavier pressure is desired. More pressure does not always mean more benefit. Many people spend their days completely disassociated from their bodies and are not practiced in listening to their body’s subtle cues. They find a heavier pressure allows them to become more embodied more quickly during the session.

Cupping ~ The use of silicone suction cups to lift and separate superficial layers of bodily tissue inviting perfusion of oxygen and nutrients to ischemic areas. Cupping is an excellent therapy in the treatment of Trigger Points, Nerve Impingement, Vertebral Subluxation and Tendonitis as well as many other conditions.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage ~ Classical Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a subtle technique which encourages lymphatic fluid to move towards areas of high density lymph nodes where it can be processed and excreted by the body through the digestive tract. The primary function of lymphatic fluid is to balance fluids in the body, release and cleanse the body of toxins and excess hormones.

Head and Face Massage ~ This 45 min session is a mixture of head, neck and shoulder massage with the nourishing face oils and gua sha face treatment. It is a combination of deep tissue massage in all the classic areas of tension and a little luxury for the face. Clinical issues such as TMJ dysfunction, headaches and sinus congestion can also be addressed as indicated.

Intra Oral Release Techniques ~ Deep internal and external soft tissue manipulation to encourage proper alignment of the jaw and cranial bones. This is effective in addressing chronic pain, tension and teeth grinding as well as headaches caused by jaw tension.

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage

“The ancient art of Thai Yoga Massage has a close relationship with Indian Ayurveda, Yoga, traditional Chinese Shiatsu and Japanese shiatsu. The continuity in the flow of movements, passing through many asana -like sequences ( yoga postures) is very similar to Astanga Vinyasa Yoga, while the ‘Sen’ energy lines which form the backbone of Thai Bodywork are similar in theory to the meridian energy lines in Chinese acupuncture. However, the ‘Sen’ lines which are Indian in origin, generally tend to follow the natural form of the body rather than the energy paths of the organs.” – Niclaire Mann

Thai massage is performed on a Thai Massage mat placed on the floor. The recipient remains fully clothed. Loose, cotton, clothing is recommended. A session generally lasts about 1-2 hours.
